Campanile Hotel Leicester, Leicester

When I arrived, the room had a really bad smell, but it disappeared after opening the window for a while. The room was hoovered thoroughly, which was acceptable, but it was incredibly hot, not ideal for someone asthmatic. The service was helpful and polite, and I appreciated the free parking. They even moved us to a quieter side of the hotel. The location was ideal, just a short walk from the social center of town. However, if you enjoy multiple walks into the city center, it might not be amazing. The dining experience was a mix; the 'Full English' was good, but the portion was tiny and not customizable. Despite the drawbacks, the hotel was clean and comfortable.

The hotel is conveniently located in central Leicester, a short walk from the city center and the train station. The rooms, despite being tidy and of a reasonable size, had a broken window that couldn't be fixed and were too warm even with a cold radiator. The dining experience was excellent with a wide selection of dishes at very affordable prices, but the service fell short in addressing noise issues and extra requests. The hotel is in a derelict area but suited my business needs well near the Morningside Arena.

The hotel unfortunately fell short in various aspects. The rooms were not up to standard, with a strong smell of cigarette smoke that prompted me to switch. The room was uncomfortably hot and too small for any real comfort, making activities primarily confined to the en-suite bathroom. The service was lacking, with staff displaying a lack of focus and even misinformation. While the location was convenient for some activities, the surrounding area was a letdown. The dining experience was inconsistent, with some dishes subpar while others were enjoyable. The hotel facilities were average at best.

The hotel is in a central location in Leicester, which was ideal for heading to the city centre. The room was clean and comfortable, although I paid a bit more than expected for not having air conditioning. The dining experience was good value for money, especially with the included continental bar. However, the service was lacking overall, with some staff playing on their phones during check-in and maintenance promises not fulfilled.

The hotel rooms don't look at all like on the photos and are very close to each other. I had a noisy experience on the first night with people outside smoking until the early hours. Despite changing rooms on the second night, the replacement had worn-out furnishings and lacked basic amenities. The absence of curtains and a subpar bed made for an uncomfortable stay.
